peony

peony took its name from the legend paeon, a physician of the gods. he healed with this plant the wounded pluto, after a fight with hercules. but instead of being proud of the success of his pupil, his teacher asclepius (roman aesculap) responded with jealousy and put him to death. pluto, however, full of gratitude, turned paeons corpse into the plant, with which he had been healed and gave it the name of paeonia.

paeonia (pfingstrose)

roses

my canvas is a meeting point of the reality of the inner
and outer world. painting means to me an ongoig new beginning,
a constant metamorphosis and continuous rediscovery.

„confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.“ (august wilson).

Bild

facing the parts of ourselves that we don’t like, or we are afraid of, is one of the most difficult tasks in life – maybe the most difficult one. this is no easy job; and it can be painful, too. but facing that pain by really feeling it – not denying or freezing ourselves to it – . we spread light on them; allowing us to see more clearly. and, exerting compassion and offering forgiveness to those parts, we might come to accept and care for them…

flying

flattering leaves, flying time, me going with seasons…always faster!

immatured ideas

it is the time for new ideas!

i’m about to complete a painting that i simply call „the leaves“. very often it happens to me that in the last meters before finishing a work, my emotions start to fly through the space of my soul, finding a fresh inspiration, yet immatured. i find this older painting above describes these momentarily green feelings pretty well.

my works

i just started this blog, showing you some of my paintings. if you like, visit my „fish paintings“, „flower paintings“, „sculptures“ and „humanscapes“.

so, slowly but surely i’ll add more of my work…be patient!
