my science – my cells (8)

my science – my cells (8): working in concert with one another…to keep outside out, allow necessities in, permit others to leave . the idea to have in the cells a mirror of the circle of live fascinates me!! now that i am in lapland – until ending of august – i feel how these fellows do their job with renewed vigour 😂  mixed media, inter alia airbrush colours, acrylics, resin, embedded in plywood (40 x 40 cm). i love to mix „science“ and emotions in my works!!

lapland impressions (6) – frosty

lapland impressions (6) – frosty. this work came to life last summer in my cottage in lapland: an experiment in highly playful way…and it was such fun working with these materials 🙌 mixed media: alcohol inks, alu-foil, layered resin on ceramic and wood.

lapland impressions (3) – secret life of roots

the work was born last summer (2017) in my cottage in finland/lapland, some 200 kilometers to the north of the arctic circle. i had kind of home chemistry over there, experimenting with different materials: acrylic paints, inks, chemicals, water and fire… i really could enjoy painting to the fullest, ‚cause the sun didn’t set…                                                                                                            mixed media: layered bioresin with acrylics, inks, metallic pigments etc. on metal.

lapland impressions (2) – botanical gem

lapland’s fells conceal mysteries. this is no surprise, since they have been there for so many tens of millions of years just where they are today. telling me never ending stories. mixed media: inks, metallic pigments, bio-resin etc. on ceramic and wood.

lapland impressions – glowing like an emerald. mixed media: inks, metallic pigments, alcohol, bio-resin etc. on ceramic and wood. this was an interesting experiment – to use alcohol for a painting, instead of drinking it 😉😂

my science – my cells (7): working in concert with one another…to keep outside out, allow necessities in, permit others to leave . the idea to have in the cells a mirror of the circle of live fascinates me!! to me this also looks like spheres that evolved in the foam of the surf between sea and land, as a primeval cell 🤗 mixed media, inter alia airbrush colours, acrylics, bio-resin, embedded in plywood (40 x 40 cm).

my anothermicroworld – geology of the soul (22)

my anothermicroworld – geology of the soul (22). somebody said once the soul is a circle. i have always loved this symbol for wholeness and eternity, as i love our circular planet of mother earth, too – the home of all humanity. my job is to dream and to create new sights and worlds, where we hopefully understand each other without words, through imagery language. mixed media: acrylic paints, inks, mixatives and bio-resin, all embedded in plywood (40 x 40 cm).

globe of flowers / wishful thinking

globe of flowers / wishful thinking: doodling, the most subtle temptation since drawing was “invented“. inbetween the time-consuming projects it is so relaxing to doodle. rapidograph on paper (35 x 45 cm)
