facing the parts of ourselves that we don’t like, or we are afraid of, is one of the most difficult tasks in life – maybe the most difficult one. this is no easy job; and it can be painful, too. but facing that pain by really feeling it – not denying or freezing ourselves to it – . we spread light on them; allowing us to see more clearly. and, exerting compassion and offering forgiveness to those parts, we might come to accept and care for them…

thank you steve. i mostly paint with acrylics, cause they are so flexible and my drive for painting is too strong to be put off…at that moment it’s impossible to loose time for preparations.
i read your „about“ and feel, we both are riding a similiar wave.
Ahhh…of course. I could use some flow medium to thin the acrylic. I like acrylics as well. They are very versatile. I have only just started on this painting journey as you know. I am more accomplished in other creative areas. I have completed one painting and would like to post a photo of it at some point to my blog. Thank you for stopping by. es gibt leute, die das bild mögen und wieder andere, die es abstossend finden (die sich von den augen verfolgt fühlen). habe kürzlich gelesen, dass es den wissenschaftlern gelungen ist – durch mathematische berechnungen + moderne methoden auf compi – den effekt „verfolgende blicke“ zu beschreiben. anscheinend werden flächige augen vom gehirn wie etwas dreidimensionales behandelt und deshalb entsteht dann auch der eindruck, als würden die blicke den betrachter verfolgen 🙂
Es ist vielleicht kein Bild zum „über das Bett hängen“ ;-), aber es berührt sehr. Mich. Tiefsinnig. Wieder in Kombination mit dem Titel. Danke für Deine Antwort und bis bald, jana
