This painting is the perfect allegory of the recreation we should share in 2014.
that was a really nice way of putting it!
Die einen rutschen, die anderen schlüpfen. Hauptsache, alle kommen rein.
Alles Gute für 2014! 🙂
😉 wie auch immer wir ins neue jahr gereist sind, auch das 2014 entblättert sich, tag für tag und uns allen bleiben wieder erfahrungen, erinnerungen und erkenntnisse. wünsch dir ein spannendes jahr, aka!
Your blog is full of really lovely art Sirpa!
chest swollen with pride 😉
by the way, my third born is elina, too 🙂
Cool about the same name! 🙂 May I ask, are you Finnish Sirpa?
yes, i was born in finland (kouvola) and my childhood/youth memories are „rooted“ in carelian culture. but i’m living in switzerland for ages…love spending every year some two months in summer in lapland in my small cottage (that’s my soul-landscape).
So cool! 🙂 I still haven’t been to Lapland but it’s on my list. I believe the landscapes are breathtaking there.
did you see already some of my silent landscapes?
I think I didn’t. I will try to search for them. 🙂
just „lapland landscapes“ (no artworks, simply my soulscapes).
I think now I found them. So beautiful! Just amazing!
This is absolutely true! 🙂
Swimming in the open sea is a great image and wonderful hope for a New Year!!!!
Wishing you enough joy, freedom, time and health for it, Sirpa!! All the best for you, Petra
merci vielmals, petra. als eine langsame person hoffe ich etwas von alldem zu erwischen…
Oh wow, I really want this on my wall. So beautiful ❤
i like the idea that all life came from the water and while drawing it, i felt so much to be one with that element. heartfelt thanks for your words.
Maybe that is why humans love to be around the sea? (other than evolutionary aspects, of course) I like to imagine that we somehow feel a little bit homesick for the sea.
Would you mind if I reblog this painting at some point? Linking back to you, of course.
it’s ok, by all means. actually it is an oil pastel.

I like those fishes,
coming out of the blue,
swimming into the blue,
especially the one
on the left side below,
that could be me…
*smile*
that’s it! i felt i knew you from somewhere…
*smiling totally relaxed into your direction*
